Nate Hance is a new age/contemporary instrumental pianist and composer. From a young age, Nate discovered a love of sharing the joy of music and has since written over 50 works for piano, choir, wind ensemble, and short films, among others. He is influenced by a huge variety of genres and artists, from Stevie Wonder to Franz Liszt, David Lanz to Scott Joplin, Duke Ellington to Coldplay. In his music on digital streaming platforms, he aims to relax and inspire with his relaxing contemporary new age piano music.
At Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, he received his music composition degree while focusing heavily on classical and jazz piano. While at Concordia, he was a winner of the Senior Honor's Competition, where he performed Britten's Piano Concerto with the Concordia Orchestra. After completing his degree, he performed around the world on cruise ships, traveling to over 65 countries. When he returned to land, he established his music business, sharing his talents with live audiences and expanding his repertoire by writing unique medleys, mashups, and original music. He plays over 300 gigs each year for numerous audiences around the Twin Cities and greater Minnesota, but his favorites remain providing a few moments of respite for stressed travelers at the MSP Airport and being a bright spot in the days of memory care, nursing home and assisted living residents. In addition, Nate loves making creative song arrangements and mashups for YouTube, TikTok and Instagram. You will find everything from Happy Birthday played as a tango to Harry Styles’ “As It Was” played as a ragtime piece.
