Hi, Nate Hance here!
Spreading joy and creativity to all generations with genre-defying music.
Nate Hance is not your average pianist, composer, or entertainer. Known for transforming the familiar into the unforgettable, he blends virtuosic playing with humor, storytelling, and audience interaction to create a show unlike any other. No two performances are ever the same. Instead, the audience helps shape the setlist through live requests, games, and spontaneous mashups, making them part of the adventure.
From turning Für Elise into ragtime, to playing the piano upside down, to mashing up Beatles hits in record time, Nate’s performances surprise and delight audiences of all ages. With a background that spans classical training, jazz improvisation, and years performing around the world on cruise ships and concert stages, he has honed a one-of-a-kind style that is both masterful and playful. Inspired by his dad’s wisdom, “you were born an original, don’t die a copy,” Nate brings that philosophy to his music, sparking joy, laughter, and connection while encouraging audiences to think outside the box and embrace being unapologetically themselves.
Originally from Minot, ND, Nate studied music composition at Concordia College (Moorhead), spent three years performing aboard Holland America cruise ships, and now calls the Twin Cities home, where he’s made performing his full-time adventure.

Reviews
“Nate Hance performed a concert for us at the International Music Camp this past summer for our campers ages 10-18 as well as the general public. Nate kept everyone engaged and provided a concert that was educational and entertaining. Several campers commented that his concert was their favorite part of the week! We hope to have him back at IMC again someday!”

"I had the unique and distinct pleasure of hosting Nate Hance at Horizon Middle School in Moorhead, MN in the spring of 2024. His musical mastery is without question, his humor was on point, and he can relate to students of all ages. In addition, was very flexible with scheduling and communication and was simply easy and enjoyable to work with behind the scenes. His focus on making a career from music and innovations there and on social media are relevant and interesting to students as well as his endless combinations of mashups of popular songs and genres. I would recommend his concise yet effective presentation to any school, teacher, or student, and I would enjoy welcoming him back to a new crop of students in a future year."
